How do I order a 1992-1997 double din kit or iPad kit?We provide all information necessary for customers to order but we understand it might be a lot of information to bite off initially so we have created a walk through video on how to order and what things mean on the product page. The video is specifically filmed for the double din kit product page, but the iPad kit product page is the SAME and orders the SAME. Here is the link... VIEW HERE

How do I order products? All of our products are conveniently located right in the store right here on our website to order

Are OBS dash kits stocked? If you are looking to order just the radio bezel, than yes. We stock those uncolored and color them as they are ordered with a 2-4 week shipping lead time. If you want the actual kit, than no. Due to the demand of the kit and the combination of all the other parts that make up the kit with the fact that everyone's order is to their spec and different, these are built to order with a wait time. We have a green banner on the top of the web store that we try to keep updated with current estimated wait times on the kits.

What are dash kit cores?OBS dash kit cores are the long dash pad that is above the radio all the way to the right side of the dashboard, and the long thin trim stick right below the pad. DASH PADS... The dash pads are shortened reupholstered originals so we need those in order to put one in the kit. IF YOU SELECT THAT YOU WANT A MODIFIED ORIGINAL DASH PAD AND/OR THAT YOU WILL SEND CORES ON YOUR ORDER... YOU --MUST-- SEND YOUR DASH PAD IN FOR A CORE DURING PRODUCITON OF YOUR ORDER. INSTRUCITONS ON HOW TO DO SO ARE LOCATED ON THE INVOICE THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE TO PAY THE REMAINING BALANCE OF THE ORDER ONCE IT ENTERS A PRODUCITON BATCH. WITHOUT DOING THIS DURING PRODUCTION, YOU ORDER WILL --NOT-- BE COMPLETED AND SHIPPED UNTIL YOU DO SO. We will also refund you $40 for the dash pad for doing this as a courtesy. TRIM... That long trim that might say something lie XL, XLT, Eddie Bauer, etc... does NOT normally come with the kit due to them being very difficult to find and not worth the high expense to manufacture new plastic ones. But we will shorten and refinish it solely as a courtesy during production of your order if you send it in. as well as give another $15 back to you. OR you can opt to get CNC billet aluminum ones.

What are acceptable cores?- Dash pads that have cracks are acceptable. - Color or the pad does not matter. - Broken tabs on trim are acceptable. - The long trim CAN be broken lengthwise, but we NEED all pieces to create total original length.

How do I send cores?T0 SEND CORES OR PARTS YOU MUST ALREADY BE IN CONTACT WITH US. - If you are trying to send cores for a dash kit... Than the invoice you received and paid has the address to send to on the to left of that invoice and there is also a specific line labeled "terms" that contains instructions on how to send them. - If you are trying to send parts to be worked on, we provide the address to you when appropriate to send them. - VERY IMPORTANT WHEN SENDING CORES FOR DASH KITS * For dash kit cores... The box you send cores in MUST include a printed copy of your original order OR a printed copy of your invoice specifically inside the box. Failure to do this means NO core credit NO exceptions. WE WILL NOT LOOK FOR SCRIBBLED NOTES ON THE OUTSIDE OF BOXES OR USE SHIPPING LABEL INFORMATION. HOW TO PACKAGE A DASH PAD AND TRIM CORE... -The most efficient way to send a dash pad or trim core for a dash kit or dash pad order is by visiting your local post office. Post offices have FREE boxes, and they do have ones that are triangular in shape and long enough to fit a dash pad and trim. These boxes are PERFECT to send cores in and the box itself is FREE. You may have to ask an employee at your local post office for one if they are not out on display but we have never seen a post office not have them at all. -Remember that the larger the box, the more packing material you will need to use to fill the open space in the box and the larger the box the most expensive it is to ship. Also remember to send a pad and trim core, UPS and FedEx are great options but will be MORE expensive than your local post office. When sending parts to us for repair work, we require customers to include at minimum a note inside the box with their info on it (name, phone, address, etc.), but preferably a printed copy of your estimate or your repair request form.

How do I ship parts to you?Shipping is a lot easier than you might think. Just find an appropriate box that isn't too big or too small and use some protective packaging on the parts. Shipping supplies can be purchased at places such as The UPS Store, Lowes, Home Depot, U-Haul, etc. Shipments MUST include a note specifically inside the box with the customer info on it. We get too many shipments in a day and too many customer inquiries to be cross referencing shipping label info with info from those customer inquiries.
-
How can I purchase cheaper shipping from you?In order to provide any shipping prices or generate shipping labels we need the following... - name - return address - shipment dimensions - shipment weight Once we have that we can get a shipping price. If the customer accepts the price, we send a QuickBooks invoice to pay for the shipping and once that's paid the label is emailed and can be printed and applied to the box to drop off at any UPS drop location
-
Will my parts get shipping damage when returning to me?We take our time packaging parts to return to the customer. We order new shipping supplies by the pallet and do not re use shipping supplies we received parts in. We package things neatly using sufficient amounts of protection. Very rarely do we have things get damaged. But in the unfortunate even something does happen, we load every shipment with enough insurance to ensure the repairs can be taken care of for no additional charges to the customer.
-
Do you sell interiors? We do not actually sell interiors, we work on the customers interiors. So what ever you would like worked on must be supplied to us.
-
Do you only work on OBS trucks?Nope. We work on any year, make, model vehicle.
-
Do you need my parts to do the work?Yes, whatever you would like worked on must be supplied.
-
Is interior coloring durable?Yes. The coloring we use has been proven to have the most natural appearance as well as the most durable and chemically resistant in the industry. We have personally tested it against all of the popular and some unpopular brands of interior coloring and when all of those fail, ours still holds. Keep in mind no coloring is a "dye"... Anybody who tells you otherwise does not understand the products, and even the products themselves advertise as a coating not a dye. Also remember no interior color is indestructible. Another benefit of the product we use is it is non toxic unlike all competitor colorings that contain very harmful chemicals.
-
Can I buy supplies from you to do the work myself? No, OBS Interiors does not re sale supplies to customers.

How do estimates work? Our estimate process is very straight forward. STEP 1: We start with a basic estimate which is a starting point based on photos of the customers parts and information we gather from the customer on their goals and what types of materials they want etc. Once we have that info, we send an estimate using all that info. STEP2: Once we actually receive the parts in person, we do a thorough visual inspection without disassembling the parts to note their actual condition and estimating actual labor time we think it will take. Then we verify material choices and any custom needs if any with the customer. The original basic estimate is then modified if needed with the actual in person real time information we gathered and sent to the customer for approval. Please understand estimates are not quotes or promised prices. We do our best to provide the best estimates we can, but no estimate is EVER a promised price or a quote. Quotes are set in stone prices, estimates are NOT. We are very up front with out customers about prices for full transparency. We will NEVER promise a price to a customer. With custom work there are no set labor times or set flat rate costs for items. It is all custom tedious work. And if in the event mid way in a job we run into something that will lead to more costs, we always touch base with the customer before continuing.
