Terms and conditions
INTODUCTION
Welcome to OBS Interiors, doing business as Carr Designs ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to delivering high-quality products and services. These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern the parts and services related to our interior parts and services. By purchasing and using our products or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.
AUTHORIZATION
- By submitting a signed estimate request and accepting/signing an actual estimate you may receive, you are automatically authorizing OBS Interiors to touch and work on your parts whether the parts are worked on right away or during the future appointment time.
- By providing us with a signed Estimate Request form and/or accepting an estimate for repair work, the customer automatically understands and agrees all terms and conditions and authorizes us to perform work to their parts.
ESTIMATES
- We do our best when providing estimates, but estimates are NOT set quotes or promised prices. There will always be a chance of fluctuations if the supply costs change, labor time/rate increases, or the customer makes changes to their project.
- Estimates are provided initially using information from the customers through the initial Estimate request submitted as well as any additional information received from the customer if applicable. Estimates are then sent using that information gathered through email, or phone. Those are basic starting estimates doing the best we can not having the parts in our possession to really know their real condition and/or finalized job specifics or materials.
Once we receive parts, a thorough visual inspection is performed of the parts sent (or what is dropped off by customer) and all materials, themes, any supplies and details are confirmed with the customer and at that time the estimates are updated using all of that real time in person information of the parts actual condition and all the customers wants, needs, and choices for materials, custom needs, etc.
- NO estimate includes shipping charges or remove and install labor unless otherwise specified on the estimate.
- In the event the customer makes changes to their job once all factors have been approved and the job is in progress, requiring OBS Interiors to undo things, start over, or additional supplies needed the customer will be charged for that labor time and any materials that can not be re used or materials added to the project.
- Estimates are NOT quotes. Quotes by definition are set prices. Estimates are a good educated/calculated guesses.
- Estimates are NOT promised prices.
APPOINTMENTS
- We do require a deposit on any job specific supplies to begin the work because all the supplies we use are non returnable and non refundable with our suppliers once the supply orders are processed.
- Appointment deposits and supply deposits all go towards the final invoice.
- We stay very busy and prefer customers to schedule appointments. We require a NON REFUNDABLE deposit to secure any scheduled appointment. Small jobs can sometimes be worked in pretty timely.
- If the customer sends parts in as a "work in" and it is not a small job that can quickly be worked in, they automatically accept and understand we will get to it as soon as we can with absolutely no guarantee to when that will be since it has a very low priority in comparison to jobs with scheduled appointments.
DAMAGES
- OBS Interiors is not responsible for any damages to a customers property in the event the parts are in the possession of the customer while they remove or install their parts on their own. Or if work we did was custom and requires other parts to be modified by the customer and the customer makes mistakes doing so.
Limitation of Liability for Acts of Nature: Customer's Insurance Responsibility
In the event that a customer's vehicle sustains damage due to an act of nature, including but not limited to weather-related incidents such as hailstorms, floods, or other natural occurrences, Carr Designs shall not be held responsible for any resulting damages. It is understood and agreed that the customer's own car insurance policy shall be solely responsible for covering any repairs or compensation related to such damages. Customers are encouraged to review and ensure their insurance coverage adequately protects against potential damages arising from acts of nature
Liability for Shipments
OBS Interiors is not responsible for any lost or damaged shipments. While we may assist in the shipping claims process, the primary responsibility for shipping-related issues lies with the customer.
Reporting Shipping Damages
Any parts damaged during shipping must be reported to OBS Interiors immediately upon receipt. Reports of damages made after the date of receipt will not be eligible for shipping damage claims. Specifically, any damages reported after 30 days from the date of receipt will not qualify for a shipping damage claim.
Customer-Arranged Shipping
When a customer arranges to purchase shipping from OBS Interiors to send parts in for work, the customer is responsible for providing all shipment specifications. If a shipping carrier audits the shipment(s) due to incorrect specifications or inadequate packaging, the customer will be responsible for all additional charges resulting from the audit. OBS Interiors will bill the customer for any such charges incurred.
Address Discrepancy and Additional Charges
In the event that a shipment to a customer incurs additional charges due to an address discrepancy, and OBS Interiors has used the address provided by the customer, the customer will be responsible for all associated additional charges. The customer will be billed for any such charges incurred.
SUPPLIES
Quality of Supplies
We pride ourselves on using only the highest quality materials and supplies in the industry. Whether it's the paints, pigments, leather, or other materials involved in your project, we ensure that everything we use is of exceptional quality to provide long-lasting results and superior craftsmanship. Our commitment to quality extends to every aspect of our work, so you can be confident that the materials we apply are among the best available.
Color Matching Process
All color matching for plastic coloring and vinyl & leather repair coloring is performed using industry techniques to achieve the closest possible match to the parts being worked on. While we make every effort to ensure a high degree of color accuracy, please be advised that shades of colors may vary slightly due to factors such as lighting, surface texture, material composition, age of the parts, and the inherent differences in the materials being matched. We use specialized tier coloring products designed for plastic and vinyl & leather to achieve a consistent and durable finish, but slight variations may occur based on the specific material or repair condition.
Upholstery Colors
Upholstery colors are subject to the availability of colors from our suppliers. While we do our best to source a wide range of color options, we are limited to the color selections provided by the manufacturers. We offer a variety of catalogs to help choose the closest match to their desired outcome. However, please note that color availability may vary depending on the supplier's current stock, and there may be limitations to specific hues or materials. We will work with you to select the closest available match to meet your needs.
Specific Exception for 1992-1997 OBS Ford F-Series and Bronco Vehicles
For 1992-1997 OBS Ford F-Series and Bronco vehicles, we utilize specialized color matching formulas that were developed during previous custom matching projects with New Old Stock (NOS) parts. These formulas have been carefully designed to replicate the original color schemes as closely as possible to what the colors should have been when new back in their time, ensuring a more precise and consistent match for these particular vehicle models.
Variations in Color Matching
While every effort is made to achieve an accurate and consistent color match, it is important to note that no two parts will always match exactly due to variations in production materials, age, and environmental factors that may have affected the original parts. We recommend reviewing color samples before proceeding with any work if precise color matching is critical.
Leather Quality and Imperfections
When leather is used on a job, any minor natural defects, such as blemishes, scars, or variations in texture, must be accepted by the customer. We source all our leather directly from premium tanneries in Europe, ensuring the highest quality available. However, leather is a natural product, and inherent imperfections are sometimes present. These are not considered defects, but rather unique characteristics of the material. We cannot accept responsibility for these natural markings, and by proceeding with your order, you acknowledge and accept such variations as part of the inherent qualities of genuine leather.
Limitations of Liability
While we take great care in providing the highest quality materials and services, we cannot be held responsible for color discrepancies due to unavoidable factors such as lighting conditions, material composition differences, or slight color variations over time due to natural aging of vehicle parts. Additionally, natural imperfections in leather are accepted by the customer upon proceeding with the job.

STORAGE FEES & ABANDOND WORK
- Any parts in our possession that have not been started on due to pending approval or deposit from the customer are subject to a storage fee of $20 per day after 7 consecutive days of no communication from the customer. - Finished work that has been invoiced to the customer is subject to a $20/day storage fees after 7 consecutive days of non payment or communication. Fees are for the customers that refuse to communicate. If life happens just talk to us and keep a good open line of communication, do not ignore us.
